The successful applicant will combine an innate creativity and technical competence with a technology diploma and three to five years of related experience to assume a key role in the design and development of special purpose machinery and automated systems for an array of complex production processes. He / she must be capable of working in a fast paced team environment and be capable of taking responsibility for the timely design / build of functional, cost effective automated systems.

Duties include support of production, maintenance and improvement of the QMS, facilitation of the APQP process, driving the development of the PFMEA and Control Plans and compiling PPAP packages. Candidates must have at least 4 years as a QE in an automotive environment and possess a sound knowledge of quality systems and statistics in combination with excellent oral and written English communication skills. Knowledge of injection moulding would be an asset.

Successful applicants will be required to perform assembly and machine tending duties ensuring production and quality targets are met on a 8 hour/5day rotating shift basis. Ideal applicants will possess a grade 12 diploma, reliable transportation, initiative and a positive outlook.
